One

Use a shot glass to sit your beauty blender/sponges on to dry out

This helps to avoid mould and dry out your sponge quicker.

Two

Use a credit card or sticky tape for winger eyeliner or a sharp eyeshadow line

Giving you a super sharp, crisp line when applying either eyeliner or eyeshadow.

Three

Add corn starch to your clear nail polish to make it matte Be careful not to add too much or the polish can go clumpy and make an uneven application.

Four

Put a layer of white eyeliner under your eyeshadow to make colours pop

Making your eyeshadow look more pigmented and will help make the colours more vibrant.

Five

Put eye drops in mascara that's gone clumpy

If your mascara has gone a bit clumpy or dry, adding a few eyedrops will help to put some moisture back into it perfect for use again.

Six

Hold a tissue over your lips and dust translucent powder over the top

To make your lipstick last longer during the day and can even make your lipstick matte.

Seven

Use coconut oil for basically anything

Coconut oil is super versatile and makes for a great makeup remover, hair treatment, lip moisturiser etc.

Eight

Spray your bobby pins with hairspray before putting them in Making a stronger and longer lasting hold in your hair.

Nine

Hold a spoon over your eyelid for easy mascara application without the smudges

Avoiding getting mascara all over your eyeshadow that's just taken you a life time to perfect.

Ten

Put a cold spoon under your eyes before makeup applications This will reduce the dark circles and any bags you have, making you look less tired.

Eleven

Heat up your eyelash curler with a hair dryer Giving you a tighter, longer lasting curl - just don't burn yourself.

Twelve

Use a small container for mixing foundations/lightening drops & seal with a lid This is also a great idea for travelling as it's compact and ready to use.

Thirteen

Cut open makeup bottles when you think they're empty So much product is left over on the inside of bottles - scrape it out and store in a container.

Fourteen

Keep all MAC packaging (no matter what the item) When you hand in 6 empty containers to a MAC store, you get a free lipstick in return.

Fifteen

Use baby wash (or dish washing liquid) + olive oil to wash your brushes These household items are perfect mixed together to get a deep clean.

Sixteen

Put a small amount Vaseline on pulse points before spraying perfume This will extend the longevity of the scent throughout the day.

Seventeen

Put your finger between your lips in a pouting position and pull outwards Because no one likes to get lipstick all over their teeth, no one.

Eighteen

Use a toothbrush on your lips to exfoliate (with Vaseline if possible) This will remove dead skin for a smoother lipstick application.

Nineteen

Use empty, old candle holders to store makeup brushes

Who doesn't love a cute DIY project? Plus, it'll smell delicious!

Twenty

Dip your fingertips into a bowl of cold water & ice to set your nail polish To avoid smudges and set the polish a lot quicker.
