How to Beat the Winter Blues

Seeing as we've just hit the coldest season of the year, I figured it's the perfect time for some tips and tricks on how to beat the blues this Winter! Whether you're a winter lover like myself or hate the cold with a passion, I can guarantee that any of these activities are bound to fix those winter blues and keep you warm and toasty all day long!
Winter Activities:
Bubble Bath
I don't care what season it is, bubble bath's are always at the top of my list for activities to do indoors. Grab some bath bombs, soap or bubble bars (my favourite are from Lush) and sit back and relax. I like to put a movie on my laptop and prop it up on a stool (away from the bath obviously) and really enjoy my bath until my fingers go all wrinkly like an old ladies.

Movie Marathon
Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, chick flicks - it doesn't matter, they're all good. Netflix is super great too! Pop the popcorn, get the drinks and chill out on the couch (with 100 blankets of course) and enjoy your day inside without the guilt.
Board Games
I love board games, like actually love them. Too bad my family always cheat and try to sneak their way through the game to win. Don't worry, I catch onto them first - nothing gets passed me! A few favourites of mine would have to be Monopoly, Cluedo, The Game of Life, Family Feud and the old classics Trouble & Uno.
Pamper Yourself
While the weather isn't so great, take the time to pamper yourself and deep condition your hair, exfoliate your skin, shave, moisturise, paint your nails or force your boyfriend to put on face masks with you (a personal favourite of mine!)

Online Shopping
It's fair to say that my bank account gets a bigger workout than me during winter..
I like to window shop online and add a million things to my cart until I check the balance and quickly close it before I spend my life savings. A few of my favourite websites would be Mecca, Sephora, Beauty Bay, CatchOfTheDay and Kogan. Check out some of my other favourite beauty websites!
Baking & Cooking
I have some really great memories of being a little girl dressed up in princess dresses and plastic high heels cooking little treats with my Mum. Baking is such a fun hobby and the end result is always so delicious too! You could bake a batch of cookies, a delicious slice or whip up a fancy dinner for the family (mmm winter casseroles) - Pinterest has millions of amazing, easy and time-friendly ideas!

YouTube
YouTube is the bomb - you can literally find just about anything on there now days! Tutorials, reviews, recipes, laughing babies, screaming goats - it's got it all! Makeup tutorials are my favourite thing to watch on YouTube - Shaaanxo & Chloe Morello would have to be the most entertaining and enjoyable girls to watch!
I'm also in love with watching behind the scenes of photoshoots and editing tips & tricks from other photographers. I've watched all of Jessica Kobeissi's video's at least 10 times over, each. She's amazing.
Video Game Marathon
It doesn't matter what age you are, no one is ever too old for a video game marathon. Whip out the old Nintendo 64 and tear up Mario Cart, Super Smash Brothers or Donky Kong or jump on the Xbox and get a Call of Duty party happening (I love the zombies version of this!)
