The Greatest Inspiration In My Life

Today marks a new beginning - the start of my first ever blog! I've been stuck here for hours going mentally insane trying to think of something exciting, captivating and inspiring to write. I thought about my love for photography, or my obsession with online shopping, but then I thought, what better to write about than the one person who inspires me most, my Mum.

Mum, you taught me to be a better person, you taught me to hold my head high and most of all, you taught me to be myself and take life as it comes; to always be true to myself, my values and to know my worth. The life lessons I've gone through with you by my side are endless and I wouldn't even know where to start if I were to list them off.
As every mother and daughter does, we fought. You made decisions, I hated them. You tried to help, I didn't listen. You told me you loved me, I walked away. For years, as a teenager, I focused too much on the negatives in my life to realise how loved I was, by you and by my whole family. You stood by me through thick and thin, through my highest highs and my lowest lows; never have I doubted the love you have for me.

The love you've shared with me over the past 21 years can't be measured. There are no words to describe the care, patience and commitment you have put into shaping me into the person I am today. It's an honour to say that I wouldn't be who I am or where I am without you.
I've been through so many challenges in my life and at only 21 years of age I can truly say that I was so blessed to have you by my side. For a while there, I struggled with a lot of my own mental health issues and still to this day do I know that no matter what life throws at me, you have always been there with open arms and a loving heart.

You're a hard-worker: always have been, always will be. Starting out as a chef at sixteen years of age and still kicking, I honestly don't know how you to it! One of your biggest achievements to date - opening your own (extremely successful) business "Lozzar's Lounge Cafe". You don't commend yourself enough on the hard work and effort you to put into each and every thing that you do but that's what makes you you. (and it's why I love you)

My mum is the greatest and most inspiring woman I have ever met and I will always strive to be as smart, funny, witty and successful as she is. I love you mum; always have and always will.
